Medical Detectives explores the practices of medical professionals who save lives daily. As an educator, it is my priority to build a curriculum that enriches students' minds by cultivating a classroom environment that thrives on communication, safety, self-expression, community, and hands-on learning. COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Students will apply experimental design, creative thinking, and problem-solving to investigate the human body's inner workings, diagnose disease, and improve human health. 

They will:

• Collect and analyze medical data to diagnose diseases 

• Solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs

• Measure and interpret vital signs

• Dissect a sheep brain

• Investigate disease outbreaks

• Explore how a breakdown within the human body can lead to dysfunctions
